Meet Donnie Hayes
Donnie Hayes( Donn Robert Hayes II), has been fishing for many years and has been lucky enough to experience many years fishing out of the San Francisco Bay and the Sacramento Delta, where he has learned that the "best laid plans of mice and men often go awry."(John Steinbeck) The great part about fishing is that even on the best weather day there is no guarantee of success, but we do it anyway.
Five years living in Idaho just south of Yellowstone Donnie learned the basics of Fly Fishing on the Madison and Henry's Fork. During this time he was also attending BYU-Idaho and picking up a degree in Recreation Management with an emphasis in Business and Exercise Science. As the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Petersburg he is well tied to making your trip amazing.
Donnie has a beautiful family with 4 amazing kids who all love living in Alaska. He is so excited to be a part of fulfilling the dreams of those who have always wanted to come fishing in the beauty we call home, Alaska. |

Meet Donn Hayes
Donn fell in love with the land of Alaska when he first went fishing there with his father-in-law, Sam Nelson.
They enjoyed many fishing trips together which led to Donn taking both his boys to the land of beauty!
Just talking about whales, halibut, salmon, eagles, puts a smile on Donn's face.
Donn has been around the water all his life starting as a small boy on his Dad's boat out of Alameda, California and then with his father-in-law
spending time out on the rivers in the Bay area.
Donn loves helping people, spending time with grandchildren and friends, golfing, and best of all pulling in a Big Halibut!
Donn is married to D'Ann, has four children, all married with 13 grandchildren as of November 2012.
Donn & D'Ann live in the San Francisco Bay Area in the city of Benicia. He spends his summers in his favorite place, Petersburg, Alaska. |
