Owners, Richard II and Becky Montgomery, are both educators. Richard, a high school principal, and Becky, a teacher, have been outdoor enthusiasts for years. Richard began guiding in the 1970’s on the Salmon and Middle Fork Rivers of Idaho. In fact, in 1978 he was chosen to guide one of the rafts that President Jimmy Carter and his entourage took down the Middle Fork. For the past two decades the family has lived in Alaska fishing the waters and enjoying its remote beauty. This love for the out of doors has been passed on to their sons.

The owners' oldest son Richard III (USCG licensed) is captain of your charter boat. He will serve as your guide. Richard has an unbeatable enthusiasm for Alaska salmon and halibut fishing. He is tenacious when it comes to detail and in satisfying his clients’ needs. Richard has several years of successful guiding under his belt and more than several years of successful fishing. During the off-season, Richard is a high school math teacher. So, if you’re new to the sport, he'll be happy to teach you how to fish.
